How do I activate a Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan?

Easy, call 1 800 TELSCAPE and one of our courteous customer representatives will assist you or visit one of our retail locations. To locate the nearest location click here.

What will I need to start my new Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan?

In order to start your new Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan, you will need to provide us your name and location so that we may assign a local number to you. Additionally, you will have to purchase a new handset from our line-up and make an initial payment of $15.00, $25.00 or $35.00 to start your new Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan.

How does Telscape Prepaid Wireless work?

Telscape Prepaid Wireless is a prepaid solution to staying connected while controlling cost. Once you obtain your service, all you need to do is continue adding funds for additional talk time or for your text message needs. Your usage is automatically deducted from your balance so you never have to worry about a monthly bill.

How do I add funds for additional talk time?

Easy, call 1-800-430-0443 to add funds through our fast automated service using a credit or debit card with the Mastercard or Visa logo. Or for your convenience you can visit any one of our many payment locations. To locate the nearest payment locations click here.

Will I receive an invoice with call detail with my Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan?

With Telscape Prepaid Wireless you never receive a bill. Your usage is automatically deducted from your balance so you never have to worry about overages. If you would like to request a report that details your calls, you may do so by calling customer service at 1-800-430-0443 a small service charge of $5.00 will be assessed via credit card.

How do I check by balance?

Knowing your balance is important, that is why Telscape has made it easy for you to call 1-800-430-0443 and hear your balance through our fast automated service. For your convenience you will also receive a recurrent text message notifying you of your balance.

Where can I purchase accessories for my phone?

Phone accessories are available at any of our local retail locations. To locate the nearest location click here.

Why is the service end date important?

The service end date represents your due date. Every time you add funds to your Telscape Prepaid Wireless service, you get an additional 90 days to use the minutes you purchased.

Does my service end date change?

Yes. Your service end date is extended by an additional 90 days, every time you add funds to your Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan. A free SMS alert will be sent to your handset to notify you of your new service end date.

How can I keep my Telscape Prepaid Wireless active without having to keep buying airtime?

The Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan does not allow active service indefinitely. Every Telscape Prepaid Wireless account is assigned a Service End date at the time of activation. You can extend your service end date by adding more funds at which point your service end date is extended for an additional 90 day period from the moment we receive your funds.

Can I make international long distance calls?

Your Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan does not include access to make international long distance calls. However, you will be able to receive them at a rate of .10¢ per min.

Can I make calls to Directory Assistance with my Telscape Prepaid Wireless service?

Yes. Your Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan allows you to make Directory Assistance calls at a rate of $1.45 per call plus airtime usage.

What happens if I forget to add more funds to my Telscape Prepaid Wireless service before my service end date?

In the event you do not add funds by the service end date, your service will be suspended for a period of 60 days and your existing minutes in your phone will expire.

Can I reactivate the same number I had at the time of my service end date?

If you reactivate the service within 60 days of your service end date, your service will reactivate with the same number and all you have to do is add additional funds to your Telscape Prepaid Wireless account.

Can I reactivate my service 60 days after the Service End date?

You will be allowed to reactivate the service by paying the initial refill amount of $15.00, $25.00 or $35.00 and re-using your same handset, however, you will be assigned a new wireless phone number.

If I buy a new handset, can I transfer my minutes and funds to the new handset?

Yes. All of your minutes and available funds will be transferred to your new handset at the time the change is made.

Can I transfer funds or unused minutes from one handset to another?

Your Telscape Prepaid Wireless plan does not allow you to transfer unused minutes or funds from one account to another.
